I was not sure how far I wanted to go today the schedule said to run a 5K today so 3 miles fast. I knew I wanted to run more than 3 miles but I was not sure how much more the plan was to head out the door and see how far I could go at half marathon pace. I used a route that is very hilly the whole way. There are not a lot of steep hills but you are either going up or down there is not a flat area on this road. I ended up going 5.5 miles here are my splits: 9:01, 8:35, 8:32, 8:39, 8:30 and the last half mile is listed at 4:36 (I am not sure what that means) I felt much better at the end of this run than I did the last time I ran this speed, I hope that soon this speed will feel much more comfortable. |
