5.5 miles with Heidi nice and slow.

Splits: 9:20, 9:15, 9:02, 9:09, 9:24 (saw a scary dude and had to wait to see which way he ran before we could go on.)

Took Nick to the doctor for his missionary appointment. They think he has Marfans syndrome. It is a heart defect. So now we need to see the cardiologist, I am not worried it is not serious it will just delays when he can leave. I guess this is why they make you take your sons to the doctor before they go.

The word Marfan sounds phonetically in Chinese as *annoying*. So hope it is just a little annoyance and nothing serious.

We took my boys (7 and 8) for their checkups and both were referred to a cardiologist (My 7 year old's heart seems to be firing backwards, and the 8 year old has inherited my slow heart beat (54 bpm during his EKG...my wife told the doctor that my resting HR is in the low 30s, but that I'm a "marathon man"). We've got appointments with cardiologists in a few weeks..neither issue seems to be causing much concern at the moment, but we're getting them checked out.

I hope Nick's cardiologist has some favorable news for you.
