worst run ever!  I had a really hard spin class yesterday, I was really feeling it right from the start.  This is why I think the miles are so slow.  However that is not the reason the run was bad.  I kept getting interrupted so rather than one long run I had 6 short ones! Not sure how to really count these miles, because it was not a 19.5 mile run, it was more like 3+3+3+2.5+4+4

First three miles with Heidi - 9:40, 9:29,9:18

3 By myself - 8:58, 8:56, 9:00

Now is when the run first got derailed.  I ran in woke my teenager up for school, she got really grumpy and it took me 45 minutes to get her out the door.

I then headed out for 11 more miles.  At mile 8.5 I started to feel really light headed, I knew I needed to eat.  I was a half mile away from Ensteines (sp) so I stopped in for bagel and chocolate milk. - 9:08, 9:11, 9:17

I headed out again and felt much better at 11.5 miles I stopped by my house to kiss my honey goodbye before he left on a trip. - 9:11, 10:46 (forgot to stop my watch at a light and running up hill)

Left to do the last few miles got 1.5 miles out and it started to snow really hard kept going for .5 miles and then turned around finished the four miles soaking wet and freezing. - 10:15, 9:10, 8:54, 9:15

I quickly changed out of my cold wet clothes and did 4 miles on the treadmill.  Really at this point I was so frustrated that I just walked on the treadmill so I am not sure if I should count these miles but I will because they still hurt which is sad in and of itself!

WOW!!! What a crazy morning! I think Sasha should put a category under *HARD miles* or *CRAZY miles*. WAY to keep on running! I would have quit after the grumpy teenager left for school and go snuggle with the honey and have a scrumptious breakfast together before he left for his trip! :)

This run prepares you WONDERFULLY for Dam2Dam but the Relay will be so so so so much more fun!!!

Kathie~

I read in one of the Runner's World articles that a run like that every now and then is actually super good for you! Really. You had several workouts in one day. My personal opinion is that it will be a huge benefit.

(I think the RW article said to run 3 miles 4 different times throughout a 12 hour period. Something like that. :))

Good thing about a worst run ever is it should get better next time.

That is one crazy 19 mile run! You deserve a medal just for finishing that one!!! You are so dedicated...amazing.

Sounds terrible but it is done and in the past. I've always felt that these type of runs are great in building your mental endurance.

It sounds like one of my runs on a Saturday on the treadmill. Way to keep at it.

Have fun this weekend

Like Paul said, if this was the worst run ever, then they can only get better!
