10.5 they were not all marathon pace miles but they were not easy either.  I met up with the SDRR ran 6 on my own before they got there.  Ate one GU (yuck!) had some water, then headed out for 4.5 more.  The last 4.5 I wanted to go fast so I asked Laura the to pace me.  We went out too fast but I could hang with her for the most part After two mile she wanted to go check on the back of the pack and left me to try and pace myself.  I noticed when ever I get tried my body goes right to a 9:30 pace.  I really need to concentrated if I am going to go faster.  I am not sure how Painters will go next week Here are my three goals

Happy 2:00:00

Thrilled 1:55:00

Ecstatic 1:53:00

You are going to do great at Painters. You averaged 8:50 today and 6 of those miles were just warm up and it will be warmer there. You should have let me pace you this morning. I think that I was running between 8:30 and 9:00 the last few miles.

Kathie, you are going to own Painters!! Seriously!! Be smart this week and it is all yours -- I'm betting you hit your ecstatic goal.

Nice run today.

Nice run, Kathie!!! I'm not sure how Painter's will go for me, either, after today's run. I struggled A LOT, but I got it done. I think I may have been a little dehydrated to begin with.

Great picture!!!

Kathie, great run. You are so ready for that PR. Taper smartly this week and your legs will be fresh and ready to roll next Sat.

From Smooth on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 23:33:32

Kathie,

Awesome run today. You will do great at Painter's. With some taper, the adrenaline and better weather you will definitely reach you ecstatic goal.

Nice Pic!!! You are going to own Painter's! With race day magic and all your great training you are in for the race of your life. I won't be surprised when you meet your ecstatic goal or better.

From Smooth on Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 17:47:03

Kathie,

Where've you been? Are you tapering or hybernating? I miss you!

From rhett on Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 18:02:47

I think she is hybernating. I hope she wakes up before Sat. though.

From fly on the wall on Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 23:25:02

Good luck at Painter's. I'm betting you'll be ecstatic! Come race day you will find the concentration you need to keep pace, so long as you take off the mask and snorkel just before the start.

From DonGardinero on Wed, Jan 14, 2009 at 12:31:50

Where'd you go, Kathie? I hope you're not sick.
