.5 warm up @ 9:13 1% incline 4X400 @ 8.0 (7:30) speed did the last one at 8.8 (6:53) just to see if I could run one lap under 7 minute miles.  .5 cool down. Felt really good to go Fast...I hope I can go FAR this weekend.

KATHIE YOUR AWESOME!!! Look at those splits and speed. Oh yeah!!! Your going to BQ!!! I can't wait to see you come in at the finish line. Your looking so ready to get it done.

From Rhett on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 15:49:15 from 74.32.218.117

Kathie, you are so ready. Keep those thoughts positive and you body will follow. Do you have a race montra that you can keep telling yourself? I found that really helped me when I was going sub 3.

From Smooth on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 16:15:24 from 97.117.89.13

Great run to keep your pace sharp. You are READY! Can't wait to see you!

Great run, coming down the stretch!

From Kathie on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 17:54:28 from 63.248.105.188

Rhett - my mantra this year has been "pain does not effect my form or performance" This has really worked for speed workouts but I am not sure how it will go over during the marathon...got anything better?

From RivertonPaul on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 17:55:23 from 67.42.27.114

"Quest for Perfection" well, maybe not so good a mantra.

From Kathie on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 17:56:05 from 63.248.105.188

Paul are you a Ute fan?

From RivertonPaul on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 17:57:04 from 67.42.27.114

Kathie, I graduated twice from BYU. I just tell it like it is. :)

From RivertonPaul on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 18:08:09 from 67.42.27.114

I hope you know I say that in good fun.

From Kathie on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 18:09:21 from 63.248.105.188

Yes I do! Funny thing is that I graduated from the U...but I will NEVER be a Ute!!!

GREAT speed workout lady :)

From MarcE on Mon, Sep 28, 2009 at 22:11:57 from 24.155.140.8

You're soooo strong and speedy! I'm thinking of putting "No Fade For You" on the back of my singlet -- I believe that came from you. Sorry, fresh out of mantra ideas...

From Huans32 on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 08:32:46 from 138.64.2.76

I have been using Relax, Smooth, Fast, Strong for my last few long runs. More in the ealier miles though. To stay relaxed and its been working great for me.

Nice speedy run Kathie! It's almost over, can't believe it's finally here! Whatever your mantra ends up being, you are gonna do great!

From Rhett on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 16:00:57 from 74.42.168.199

Kathie, sorry I have no suggestions for a good mantra. I think it is something that has to come from one's self to really benefit. Anything you can just keep saying to yourself throughout the race to keep that positive mindset really helps though even before the pain starts. It helps hold it off for longer. Good luck.

From RivertonPaul on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 16:01:50 from 67.42.27.114

Rhett has lots of good Jedi mind tricks. :)

From Rhett on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 16:25:18 from 74.42.168.199

Paul, you have to do whatever works. You on the other hand won't need any cause you're in such great race shape.

From RivertonPaul on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 16:26:48 from 67.42.27.114

Rhett, I'd simply be trying to draft off you if you were running. Get that foot healed.

Kathie, you will do great!

From Huans32 on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 16:32:05 from 138.64.2.76

Oh wont that be great when Rhett is back at it again. I am going to have to speed up to draft after him too. And I think the next race to do it at will have to be at Boston. Isnt that right Kathie?? Boston or BUST!!!??
