I just looked at my legs for the lake to lake relay and I have one huge hill during one of the legs.  I thought I might want to add more hills to my training to get prepared for this.  I set the incline to 3% and ran at 9:13 for .5 miles then I did 2X 400 meter repeats at 7:30 with 100 meter rest.  I then changed the incline to 2% and repeated the intervals.  Finally I did three more intervals at 1% for a total of 7 I then cooled down at 10:00 Pace.  I could really tell the difference in the incline but it was funny that my legs didn't hurt as much and my lungs at 3%.  I am going to have to do this more often and see if I cant kill the hills this year!!!

Lifted for legs

Wow your going to have some nice arms and those legs are getting much stronger. Great job on your hill workout. Your going to kick butt and take names on that hill.:)

Nice hill work and intervals. Your legs are getting stronger. You're gonna tear up those hills at the relay.

Kathie, you crack me up!! You are so stinkin' diehard ... you can try and deny it but we know the truth!

Great workout!!!

How did you like day 3 of the push up challenge last week??? It was hard, I barely made it and I almost cried!

I hated day three I hope tonight is better! When I have really sexy arms this summer it will all be worth it!

Hi Kathie,

I just recently joined this blog. Nice job on your hill workout. I find that when I do hill repeats the first tow sets are the most difficult after that they get easier.

Great blog photo :)
