Recovery day 3 miles at 9:13 (6.5) 1% incline.  Legs didn't feel any better they were very heavy.  However when I lifted my normal weights they felt much stronger and I could do more reps weird right!

Lifted - all over legs

Spin class - Neighbor was in class so I had to "race" him really dumb thing to do on a recovery day... when will I stop being so competitive?

I don't think you can stop being Competitive. Nice job on your workouts. I cant wait to see you you run at painter!!!!

From Kathie on Thu, Jan 08, 2009 at 13:24:37

Hey welcome back I missed having you here even though we talk all the time!

From Rhett on Thu, Jan 08, 2009 at 13:30:07

No weight lifting from now on till Painter's. That is a sure fire way to have dead legs for the race. Get right back into it though as soon as your legs allow you after Painter's. Weight lifting prevents injury.

It's hard NOT to be competitive when other people are around. Yep, I'm done with lifting for legs until after the race.

I have been around...reading your posts...I just don't comment. By the way....couldn't you find a better picture (Like the one with you in your snorkeling (SP) outfit?)

Wow, your recovery pace is my marathon pace!!!

I need some of your competitiveness, Ms Bright- Beautiful-Intelligent-Awesome-Wonderful-YOU!

LOL I like that pic. Good to hear from you again Kimmy. Hope all is going well. Great run Kathie. Easy days are hard to keep easy.

From Kimmy on Thu, Jan 08, 2009 at 18:18:24

OK........that was easy. Now lets post the one of you getting mad at me while you were in the Kayake (can you laugh about it now?)

I noticed you change your little thing at the top to say "just one race at a time"

From Kathie on Thu, Jan 08, 2009 at 19:15:01

Oh I can laugh about it now but I still have to get EVEN...You and Lee Ann had better watch out!

Yes I changed it today that will be my goal for this year.

Kathie,

I LOVE your new pic! HOW FUN snorkeling! You look good in yellow which goes well with purple.
