Spin

ran 3.2 @ 6.5 (9:13) Increased speed last mile just to get off early.

I have been in such a weird mood since Saturday and I can't seem to get out of it.  I didn't run on Monday or Tuesday and I only went to spin today for social reasons (to see friends).  After spin I forced myself to run three miles but it wasn't fun.  It was not hard but I didn't get any enjoyment out of it.  I am not writing this to fish for sympathy but just to record how I am doing in hopes that when I find a way out of the mess I will know what to do next time.  I almost didn't post at all again today.  I hope I can work this out before the race.

Maybe you have seasonal depression. I get that in the Winter, but this year it hasn't been bad. I hope you start feeling better soon, it's not fun being in a funk.

I'm glad you're posting. I was starting to worry about you. I get seasonal depression every winter. I love the sun.

Are you sleeping well? Insomnia along with "feeling stale" are signs of over-training. So glad we have a race coming up to get us out of the funk. No worries, have fun with your PURPLE crew this Sat.

Bust out a nice little run on Thursday with a couple of Painter's pace miles and you will be good to go on Saturday. A couple of good miles will give you some confidence and maybe help you snap out of this funk. Good luck.

I think a quick mile or 2 would help as well. Jeff is full of good advice for everyone today. My last race (5K in Nov.) I had no motivation. I found that a little caffiene on race morning gave me the mental boost I needed.
