Well today I did not feel fast!  From the first mile I could tell that my legs were still not 100%.  The plan was to try and throw in some marathon pace miles in the mix but today was not the day for that.  I am just happy that we got in the 20.

One of the best parts of the run is that we ran in to Smooth and her gang...they are so fun!

Splits: 9:42, 9:44, 9:42, 11:08, (uphill, windy potty stop!) 9:36, 9:43, 10:10, 9:45, 9:48, 10:37 (up a killer hill) 10:33, 9:42, 9:27, 9:56, 9:09 (attempted marathon pace and failed!) 9:11, 11:23 (water refill) 9:24, 10:06, 11:47 (called Mom to come get us!)

Kim may have a different version of this run... but nobody believes her anyway.

I just realised that I am a little over two miles away from my first 50 mile week ever...I may walk two miles on the treadmill tonight just to get it!

PM - I did it first 50 mile week ever!!!!

I saw your mileage on the mileage board before I read your report..and thought "Kathie just needs to go jog/walk 2.1 miles to get her 50." :)

How far away from home were you when you had to call your mom. Were you planning to run more than 20.3?

I had no idea you lived near Smooth. Very cool!

Way to go Kathie!!!

Your mileage is great!! I totally cheated on my mileage this week ... I counted my elliptical miles (never done that) in hopes of tricking my mind into believing that my training really doesn't stink right now!!! :)

You on the other hand are totally legit!!! :)

Nice job today!

Marc - we only wanted to do 20 but had to change the course because we didn't want to run up hill to my Mom's house. I was in charge of the math. I can't do math with a normal brain and after 16 miles there was no chance for me to get it right. This is why we had to call my mom to come get us.

I don't live by Smooth but my mom lives in the next town over right by a really nice running trail. That is where we saw her.

I had to stop typing this twice so I could get the scoop on my Son's and Daughters hot Friday nights (I was at my moms) so I hope it makes sence.

Kathie! I was so HAPPY to "run into" you and Kimmy. You two looked like you were having a blast. GOOD JOB!!!! Can't wait to see you, Kimmy, your mom, McKenna in a week.

How did your son's and daughter's hot Fri nights go? I had to sit thru a torturing 3 hours of football watching my son's team got killed by the Red Devils (AlisaK's alma mater)!

Kathie.....I had a fun time with you...OK I wouldn't say fun, but it was time spent with you. I just got back from the swim party...think I will take a nap
