One week before the wedding.  I couldn't bring myself to do anything!  That is the one bad thing about running, you really think a lot while you do it.  If you are in a state of mind where you don't want to think about what is going on, it is really hard to run.  I sat around the whole day and watched really lame t.v shows.  At least I didn't have to think about anything.

I think that is the great thing about running, but when you don't want to think about something, I guess that could make running a bad thing. I do all my good pondering while I'm out running. This morning I was trying to work out the Home Teaching assignments and who should be visiting who. Ofter I write talks and plan lessons in my head as well or just do personal evaluation and what I could be doing better. I do these things on easy days and long days. If I'm doing a hard run, it's all focused on my running.

Good luck with all that you have going on.

I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch. Yep, I agree, I do some of my best thinking when I'm running. It's tough not to do a lot of pondering and thinking. I also let my mind go blank quite a bit, too..how else does one stay sane during a 3-hour run? :)

Windsor Locks, eh? Near good ole Bradley Internation Airport. Not too far from Agawam, Mass -- home of Riverside Amusement Park (that was where my parents would take us kids for a special treat about once a year..I'm not even sure if that place still exists). Did you get to the ocean at all while in Connecticut. We usually headed south to a place call Rocky Neck, or went to Rhode Island for the big waves! Ah, childhood memories.

Marc - We went to mystic sea port several time but never to the beach. We were only there for a year and most of that time I was expecting our oldest son. (not really in swim suit shape!)

I've been to Mystic a few times, too. I only remember the big aquarium there. I never really visited any of the old clipper ships. I didn't realize you were only there for a year...that's definitely not long enough to live in New England.
