So far only 9 miles. I met up with Kim on the JRP we had run about 4.5 miles when lightning hit right by us.  It scared me to death!  After St. George last year I knew I could run in the rain but, lightning is another story.  Kim kept teasing me by saying that she felt safe because I was taller than her so I would get hit...so not funny.  I know a lot of other runners stayed out on the parkway and I am sure they were all safe but I did not want to risk it.  If it clears up I may do the other 11 tonight...Or I my light a fire read a book and listen to the rain....the jury is still out.

Splits for the first 9: 9:25, 9:15, 9:15, 10:00 (potty stop) 9:33, 9:03, 9:01, 9:06, 10:24 (Last potty stop)

fire, book, and listen to rain. That's my vote. Sounds wonderfully relaxing. You can run any time, but the perfect combo of fire, reading, and rain doesn't happen often. I'm glad you and Kim were safe.

11 more tonight? Holy cow. Don't feel pressured into running, enjoy your book.

You made a wise decision getting out of the storm. Lightning scares the crap out of me, too. Enjoy your book.

Kimmy is so funny. Now if she was running with me, she'd be the one get the lightning. LOL!

Seriously, glad you two were safe. So, did you go for fire, book reading to the soothing sound of rain?

NICE run with Kimmy. GOOD LUCK at Hobble Creek next week.

Are you serious??? That is insane! Where on the JRP were you?

Hope you enjoyed the book!! :)
