This was not a good training day for me.  Legs felt tired right when I woke up.  I had carpool today so I got to the gym late but I was still going to try and run 5 miles at race pace and then go to spin late.  It was not to be, at mile 1.5 I was already using mind game to stay on the treadmill.  I had only gone ONE mile at race pace.  By the time I was at 4 miles I was done both mentally and physically.  I had 10 minuets before class so I lifted for my hamstrings and then went to class.  I couldn't get my heart rate up in class at all.  I almost threw my monitor across the room, but that would be childish and I am an old lady after all.  Any way not sure what I am going to do tomorrow I am scheduled to do 3 EZ miles and then spin.  I don't like feeling this way so close to OGDEN!

Kathie...it sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I really struggled today, too and I don't like that it's so close to Ogden, either. I had such an amazing 20 miler Saturday night and then today I felt like I haven't run for weeks. I almost gave up after three miles but I decided to keep plugging along. I'm sure tomorrow will be better for both of us. Keep up the great work.

Bad days are evidence of hard workouts. Sure makes you appreciate good days. Why do we get hills and valleys? I guess they're connected. Be gentle and kind to yourself today. Eat good nutritious food, do yoga or whatever you need to get your energy and spirit up. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.
