Skipped lifting to save my legs for Hobble Creek...I am thinking now I should have lifted anyway.

So how did your workout feel. Were you able to keep pace the whole time? I get to do mine tonight. Look what I get to look forward to ALL Day :)

So have you decided what we are going to do at Hobblecreek?

From Kathie on Mon, Aug 17, 2009 at 12:52:16 from 207.155.176.10

The first one is always the hardest. I was able to keep up the pace, on the last two I really had to talk myself into them though.

I think I will go for the PR at Hobble Creek...I have not put in the training so if I don't get it I will be happy. I just think if I don't at least try I will always wonder what I could have done.

OK...that makes my mind up for what I will do. I am going to run with you, until I die and then I will do whatever it takes to finish. Hopefully, I can PR.

AWESOME 800s. Those translates to 7 Yassos at 3:45. You're doing GREAT! Sounds like the legs are in great shape if you felt like you could have lifted.

Can't wait to read your Hobble Creek report! I'm rooting for you to PR! Oh, Kimmy, you won't die! GOOD LUCK to both of you!

No Kathie, you did the right thing. No lifting the week of a race. Keep up all your other normal training for SGM though since this isn't your actual goal race even though you will probably PR cause you're in such amazing fitness right now.

I am so so so excited to see you and Kimmy this Saturday. It seems like it has been forever!!

I think I am running the race with the same plan in mind.

Although ... I am wondering how all this laying around eating fudge will affect my performance!! I bought 1.25 pounds at Bear World!! So YUMMY!!!

Very nice workout this morning. Why is it that the first 800 of the speedwork is so hard?? Crazy stuff!

From MarcE on Mon, Aug 17, 2009 at 21:46:00 from 24.155.140.8

It's so much more exciting to await a race report when we know someone is "going for it"! Can't wait to hear about your PR. You've definitely been training hard, you've got a good shot at it...I hope Kimmy surprises us, too and keeps with you the whole way!

I sure hope you will be able to do it. Sounds like Hobble has a nasty forest fire or something in there right now. It better not mess up your race.:( You are in great shape and will do awesome.
