No miles today I am in pain...Jeff I am so ready for the pity party.  I will bring the food you bring the tissues.  I think the hardest part for me is when ever I have been injured in the past spinning has been my go to activity to keep me from going crazy.  Now that it causes me so much pain I am not sure what to do.   I did 100 sit ups (not in a row), 50 push ups (not in a row) and lifted for my legs but I really miss doing some cardio.

Went and cut fruit for a neighbor whos daughter is getting married tonight.  I had to stand for two hours but that didn't hurt as much as the 10 minutes if sitting here typing this.

STINKS!!! What's wrong with the back? Sitting hurts, huh? But not pushups and situps? How about swimming or elliptical? May be you should go see a chiropractor or a physical therapist, masseuse? So sorry! Please baby it and get better REAL SOON!

I'm so sorry Kathie. I hope you can get it under control soon. You are doing so well with your training right now. At least you were smart enough to rest. Maybe that is all it needs. We need Teena to get on her and give you a good pep talk. Her pep talks always help me through my non-running. I'd try to give you one, but it would fail miserably compared to Teena's.

Bummer! Is this a reoccurring issue? I'm clueless about running and spinning but you could put your keyboard on a box and type while standing.... or not...

Hope you get feeling better soon.

Injuries suck!!!

From MarcE on Thu, Aug 06, 2009 at 22:06:05 from 24.155.140.8

Stink!!! I can't even imagine what kind of injury you have that doesn't hurt when you do situps, but hurts when sitting. Have you hubby massage it..maybe it just needs a little cracking..or not..I'm clueless.

From Teena on Thu, Aug 06, 2009 at 22:52:04 from 67.177.20.13

Oh Kathie ... that just plain stinks!!! I'll tell you what ... you're a member of Gold's, right?? Let's get together and go for a swim!! I'm serious!!! It can be quite amusing, but it is GREAT on the body. Then we can come to my house and I will give you that pep talk as you hang upside down on the inversion table!! :)

(Rhett ... that was so nice of you to say ... I'm totally blushing!)

Oh, Kathie, I feel your pain. I've been through many back aches and now this whole knee thing. It's been almost two weeks since I've done any running and I'm dying to give it a shot. I think you should go swimming with Teena. She can make anyone feel better.

Ya I hear ya Kathie. I am really beginning to get frustrated with not being able to run. This is my first real injury all year and it's these dang marathons that do it to me every time. I guess I really need to consider looking at a running plan that takes me up to 50 miles per week and no more. Once I start going over 50 everything starts to fall apart. I wish this wasn't the case but time and time again I prove it to myself and never listen. I think you should take Teena up on the inverted pep talk, just might be what the doctor ordered.
