Run did not go well, really don't want to talk about it.  I am being a big baby right now when I finally grow up and start to deal with this I will write more.  11 .5 miles on the road  2.5 miles on the treadmill and even that hurt!  I think why I am so upset is that I stopped running before it started to hurt too bad, but as I was walking the pain increased a lot.  I thought I was being so smart.

If you are in that much pain you may want to take an entire week off. I know I could never do it but it might be the right thing to do. Rhett, would you like to back me up here?

Is it still the hammy?(sorry, I've been away for what seems like years). You were smart to shut it down early. Listen to anything Andy might suggest.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, too. (on FB) I know how tough that can be.

Kathie ~ I was thinking about you this morning! I am so sorry the run did not go well and you're still having pain. Those are some good splits for running in pain. Sending lotsa love and healing thoughts your way!

Kathie, your goal marathon is SGM, right? That is still 10 weeks away. You are at a great fitness level right now. If you take a week or even 2 off right now, you will be 100% recovered from this injury, won't lose any fitness, and will still have 8 weeks to get to get to your peak fitness level.

Don't make me drive all the way up there, pick up Andy, and the 2 of us show up on your door step and tie you down so you won't run. Trust your fitness level. You will have you best chance at a great SGM if you take the rest now!!!!!

Kathie --

I'm with the others. Take a week off.

Smooth and I went back and forth on telling you about the midnight run ... we wanted you to come so badly but knew if you did you would run EVEN THROUGH THE PAIN!!! Looks like we were right.

PLEASE just take a week off.

Love you so much.

Teena - you were right not to ask it sounded like so much fun I am sure I couldn't have passed it up!

Hang in there and get better.

From DonGardinero on Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 14:44:50 from 75.162.189.17

I'm sorry, Kathie. Everyone is right, you're fitness level won't drop if you take a little time off. Now, in my case, I took way too much time off and now I'm paying for it. Rest it up and all that stuff.
