6.5 easy mile left without my watch just so I would go by feel for sure.  One mile warm up, one hill repeat and I knew these were not going to be good today.  Finished with 5 more miles.  Walked 1.5 with hubby.

Nine miles really easy I still feel like I am weak but there is no pain.  At this point I am wondering if I am afraid to push it any harder or if that is really as fast as my legs can go.

First 2.2 miles I ran with a friend, she had her kids in the jog stroller so the miles were slow but fun!!!!!  I walked ALL the up hills even if they were short.

Splits: 10:35, 11:26, 9:33, 9:13, 10:22, 10:16, 9:41, 9:48,  last mile on the treadmill again to avoid the big hills.

50 miles this week!  This is only the second time that I have had a 50 mile week.  They were slow and a lot of them were ugly but I am happy I could run every one of them.

I met Kimmy on the JRP at 5:00am both of us injured and not sure how this run would go.  The first 9 were ok hard, but do able. At about mile 11 the wheels started to fall off for Kim.  She wanted me to go ahead but to tell you the truth I was not much better.  We got back to the cars at 14 miles and Kimmy was done.  I went out for 2.5 more and they were so slow I started to mentally doubt what I was doing.  I hurried home to babysit my grandson but when I got home he was not there.  I evaluated how I felt and decided I would go for the full 20 mile.  3.5 miles later on the treadmill I am a happy camper.

Hamstring is not better by any means but I think it is just weak at this point not injured.  I can not seem to hold any speed at all.  Do you guys think the best way to strengthen my hammy is lots of slow miles or should I add some speed work in the mix?

splits for first 16 (warning they are ugly!!!!!) 9:09, 9:34, 9:35, 9:25, 9:31, 9:33, 9:28, 9:47, 9:24, 9:23, 9:26, 9:44, 10:41, 9:53, 9:29, 10:01

Wow this run felt great!  I think though that it felt so good because I was medicated.  I have not taken medication for the hammy just so I would be able to tell what was making it worse.  However I had other issues that needed medication for me to even run at all today.  So I took two Motrin before the run.  The schedule showed a 45 minute tempo run.  I decided I would go as fast as I could and still keep my hammy from flaring up.  The miles felt good and the last mile is as fast as I have ever run!  Mile four is slower but it is mostly up hill so It was still threshold effort.

I hope that it was not the medication that made this run so good, and in a few hours when it wears off I will be upset that I pushed so hard.

After the five miles I walked 2.5 miles with my hubby.

Splits: 8:31, 8:38, 8:26, 8:56, 7:24, 14:12, 17:49,

8 miles with my son and then 2 on the treadmill.  Hammy is sore today but more like hard work sore than injury sore (I hope any way!)  Way to many hill on my run today.  My  running options by my house are:

1- Flat and long but no bathrooms - Legacy Parkway Trail

2- Very hilly and long - Orchard Dr.

3- Rolling hills but short - Davis Blvd.

We ran option 2 today and the hills did me in! I am not sure what to do I would love to run more flat miles - not on the treadmill - but a old lady who has had three children needs a potty break every now and then!

Here are the splits from today I am not going to cry too hard about them I just hope I have more good runs like yesterdays in me.

Splits: 9:40, 8:59, 8:82, 9:21, 10:29 (practiced water stops with son) 9:59, 9:39, 14:45 (walked big hill to my house)

2.5 miles at 9:13 one mile at 8:57 two miles at 8:41 .5 miles at 8:34 and one very slow cool down mile just to waist time because I went to the gym too early.

Lifted for legs: I tried to lift for hamstrings but it felt off so I skipped them again

5.5 miles on hilly road and then 4.5 on nice flat treadmill. Hammy is feeling a lot better.  I am going to take the next three days off, I have tried to pack a weeks vacation into a weekend, no time to run.  I think it will be a good thing to take some time off.  I am going to try and run my first 20 on Monday if anyone want to join me!

Splits: 9:09, 8:58, 8:46, 9:03, 8:50

Long, hard, lonely, and hot miles.  I was hoping for much faster but I got slow, at least they were pain free...well at least the hammy didn't give me trouble 20 miles is never pain free!

At mile 13.47 I got stung by a wasp!  It killed for the rest of the run and quit frankly I am blaming it for my slow times!

I forgot to stop my watch at the street lights from mile 16 on so they are off but I doubt they would be much faster.  I walked the mile 20 (it is up a big hill)

Here are the splits: 9:30, 9:17, 9:11, 9:24, 9:34, 9:21, 9:21, 9:06, 9:07, 9:16, 9:09, 9:20, 9:30, 9:41 (wasp mile) 10:28, (up hill at 1000 north) 10:34, 9:48, 11:45 (long traffic light I hope!) 10:30, 16:40

I put this as an easy 10 miles but it was far from easy.  I ran with Nick and he wanted to feel marathon pace.  He wants to finish in 4 hours so his pace is 9:06.  After running 20 miles yesterday I was not sure how it would go but I was willing to give it a try.

Splits:9:03, 8:55, 8:42, 9:05, 9:42, (hill so still marathon pace effort), 8:58, 9:33 (I am cooked I tell him to go on), 10:00, 10:16, 15:43 (Walked the big hill mile)

I was late getting to the gym, couldn't find my keys anywhere.  After looking for 40 minutes the thought came to me "maybe my daughter used them last night" I brushed it off why would she use my keys and not her own.  Finally out of desperation I crept into her room, she was still asleep, and there next to her computer were my keys!

I only had time to do 5 miles on the elliptical and I forgot to see how long it took me.

Lifted for legs even the hammy!

This was going to be a 6 fast miles followed by 6 slow miles while I ran with a friend...but they were all slow I was just not feeling it this morning.  Part of it was I was sacred to death.  I started at 4:45 and one mile into my run a guy started running behind me and he wouldn't pass no matter how slow I went.  Later when I ran by a chain link fence it started to shake.  I am not sure if the wind shook it or if deer were jumping over it but I peed a little!  Anyway that is why I was so slow for the first six.

splits: 9:51, 9:34, 9:27, 10:14, 9:35, 9:22, 10:10, 11:15, 11:08, 11:14, 10:58, 10:36

I hope every one who raced today had a great time!

22 miles turned to ten...I ate a bad turkey burger last night and it wanted to come up all through my run.  At mile 7 I stopped to throw up but couldn't, I then forgot to turn my watch back on so I only have splits for the first seven.  I may try to do a few more miles tonight if I feel better. Not sure if that will even matter, the whole point of a 20 mile run is to be on you feet for three hours!

The weather was great today, I can honestly say I didn't want this run to end.  If I did have a doctors appointment I think I would have been able to do the 22 miles I missed on Saturday.

As a side note I wore my ugly running outfit today, you know the one you have that is on the bottom of the rotation, that you only wear when EVERYTHING else is dirty.  Well I think I saw everyone of my running friend and even a few of my neighbors that I have never seen before...it did make me run fast though just so I wouldn't be running in it when the sun came up!
