Best long run in a while!  I felt strong at the end, like I could do more.  I am sure there are several reasons for this.  I will list just a few.

Running with Kimmy, Smooth and Maynard .

Smooth's funny stories make the miles fly by.

The course was much flatter.

I didn't kill myself in the gym yesterday.

Maynard gave me a doughnut at mile 14.5 (this is the one of the best reasons!)

Smooth was my pack horse and carried my Gatorade for the last 6 miles.

After the run we met Cougar and BeMO at Ihop for breakfast so much fun again!  I am now more confident about how Boston is going to go. I hope my 20 miler next week goes as well but I am not sure how it can when I am running alone in hilly Bountiful!

Splits: 8:53, 10:15, 9:40, 9:25, 9:16, 9:56, 9:06, 8:52, 8:45, 8:50, 9:46, 9:07, 8:35, 8:50, 9:11, 8:36, 8:30, 8:25, 7:32 (Smooth and I were racing this mile I am not sure she knew that we were racing but she won anyway!)

Kathie ~ THANKS for the GREAT run today! You didn't mention that I was watching your ponytail the first miles. You were running fast and STRONG! I didn't think we were racing, I just wanted to get it done! :) THANKS for letting me "won" for a few seconds. If we were to run another mile you would have smoked me! You're the BEST pacer and running partner. I can't wait for us to run Boston together!

Oh, GO COUGARS! They'd better beat Kansas City tonight! :)

Wow, nice run. Very strong splits and finish. Sounds like great company.

Both you and Smooth had upped the pace for the last 3 miles--I could barely hang on. And just remember, the chocolate donuts tend to make your mouth feel waxy. The crumb donuts work well. Wish I could help you out on your long run next week...

WOW!!!! What a spectacular run!!!! Seriously!!! I can totally visualize you and Smooth racing in the end and Maynard saying, "What is up with these ladies???" Smooth claims she is not very competitive ... WHATEVER!!!! I missed you all so much this morning. I am glad that you had such a wonderful time!!!! Congrats on the awesome Boston Confidence Booster run!!!! :) Love ya!

You still felt like you could run more after finishing a 19 miler with a 7:32 mile? That is a very good sign.

I love reading "Best long run in a while! I felt strong in the end like a could do more." You're going to great on your 20 miler next week and then you are going to do even better in Boston. You are in the best shape of your running life! And it's all going to pay off soon!

Awesome run with friends. Wish I could have made it down. That's a pretty fast last mile. Nice job.

Where's Kathie? She must be too busy babysitting for grandson to go out and run??? :)
