For the past two years we have given this race to my mom for a Christmas gift. We loaded up Friday morning we hoped we would have good weather for the trip.  My sister who came from Preston Idaho had a hard time coming to my house but other than that the drive was great.  Woke up Saturday and I packed my whole running wardrobe just in case but the weather during the race was great a well.

Over all I felt really good during this whole race, it was not a goal race but more of a training run.  I didn't really push it and I felt great during the  race.

One of the best parts of the race was at mile ten when someone started to pass me. I turned to tell him that it was rude pass this late in the race and it was Maynard!  He looked strong I wanted to stay with him but couldn't.

I finished 40 second slower this year than I did last year but felt much stronger at the end.  I passed 12 people in the last two miles so over all I feel good about this race but I hope I can do much better in future races

Time - 1:51:57

Splits - 8:27, 8:22, 8:08, 8:13, 8:36, 8:20, 8:24, 9:01, 8:51, 8:36, 8:57, 8:34, 8:38

My sisters and my mom all run either the half or the 5K for the past two years my mom has taken second in her division in the 5k and this year my Non running sister took 9 minutes off her 5k time!

After the race we shop and play all weekend so much fun we are already planning next year!

What a FABULOUS Christmas gift to your mom. It was so fun waiting in line for the bathroom with your mom and sister before the race. She's a classy lady.

CONGRATS on a great training run and finishing strong passing so many people. You should have chicked Maynard!!!

Thanks for the warm hug post race. Can't wait to see you again. Please tell Kimmy I really miss her. Was so bummed that we didn't get to visit longer!

Yay Kathie! I'm really sorry about that whole passing you thing. I should know better and next time I'll act accordingly!

It was good to see you and congrats on a good training run!

Awesome job, Kathie!!! Looks like you're getting stronger if you didn't have to put forth a super hard effort to get that close to last years time.
