Because I was unsure how the hammy would work I stayed close to home.  While the splits seem fast I stopped and stretched a lot.  I stopped a 1.5, 3, 6, 7.5, 8, 8.5 and 10 miles.  While running I concentrated on bringing my leg forward and using my quad rather than the hamstring.  This seemed to make me go faster with less effort...bonus!!!!

Splits: 9:00, 8:40, 8:31, 8:46, 8:34, 8:33, 8:53, 8:44, 8:44, 8:33

Kathie...great job. How does the hamstring feel now? Did nick run with you or were you on your own?

From Kathie on Sat, Jul 10, 2010 at 10:37:21 from 63.248.105.188

I was on my own, Nick had to help a neighbor with her yard.

The hammy is numb again...I hope to keep it on ice all day today and then I can be in total denial about the pain :)

Good run. Hope a full day of rest tomorrow will get it back to where it needs to be.

Maybe you'll find some new running form that will make you faster and more efficient. Good job.

AWESOME run Kathie. Just be careful and not mess with your normal gait too much. We don't want any compensating injury to rear its ugly head.

Love ya!

Tuesday still work?
