8 miles with my son and then 2 on the treadmill.  Hammy is sore today but more like hard work sore than injury sore (I hope any way!)  Way to many hill on my run today.  My  running options by my house are:

1- Flat and long but no bathrooms - Legacy Parkway Trail

2- Very hilly and long - Orchard Dr.

3- Rolling hills but short - Davis Blvd.

We ran option 2 today and the hills did me in! I am not sure what to do I would love to run more flat miles - not on the treadmill - but a old lady who has had three children needs a potty break every now and then!

Here are the splits from today I am not going to cry too hard about them I just hope I have more good runs like yesterdays in me.

Splits: 9:40, 8:59, 8:82, 9:21, 10:29 (practiced water stops with son) 9:59, 9:39, 14:45 (walked big hill to my house)

I think it is so cool that your son would run with you. My baby ran yesterday by himself up and down what we duped *killer hill*. I could not and would not do that! He's sore today, HAHA!

Anyway! NICE run Kathie. I'm sorry the hammy was not happy with the hills. Not much choice with where you live. Dang, you should move by me. It is a runners' haven here. We have a gas station and a grocery store within a mile of my route and yet the roads here are wide residential streets and not too busy, rolling flat going east and west, varieties of hills going north and south!

I find that with so many road constructions or building constructions, there are port-a-potties everywhere. I guess not over in your area. Too bad they don't have places for you to *go* on the LPT!

I am planning to run on the Lehi JRP this Thurs. We will leave my house at 6am and start running at 6:15. You are welcomed to join us. The parkway is now opened on the south end all the way to the lake...so a round trip of 10-12. Would love to have you come, it is flat...but quite a drive for you to come to Lehi though!

Oh, I forgot to mention that there is bathroom at the Willow Creek Campground. It is 2 miles from the bridge on 1500N where we park. Then there's another park about 1 mile from 2100N.

Great run. I'm glad the soreness isn't any injury type of soreness. Take it easy tomorrow and you'll be fine.

Kathie...I noticed one of your splits was 8:82. You just couldn't bring yourself to write 9:22 Ha Ha :) JK Love you!!!!

Oops 8:52!

From Kimmy on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 17:05:12 from 71.38.227.87

Oh..now you are just saying that, how do we know it wasn't 9:22???? :)

Kimmy, this a great conversation to read between sisters. I'm getting a good laugh. :) How are you doing? Is your SGM training coming along or are those ribs still holding you back?

From Kimmy on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 17:36:41 from 75.169.128.84

Rhett...My training is going fine. the ribs feel great! I still have issues with my lungs, but everyday things are getting a little better. Thanks for asking :)

As for joking with Kathie....I have to bring her down a little or she gets a little cocky

From Kathie on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 18:54:12 from 63.248.105.188

Kimmy - your too silly!!!! How could I ever get cocky with you around!

You could always bail on the old lady and run by yourself... ;)

From Doone on Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 14:13:47 from 74.36.34.151

Its not just old ladies that need potty breaks (and you're not old!!). I am glad the hammy is on the mend. Your runs are great!
