4.5 miles at 8:20 1% incline.  I started the run feeling a migraine coming on last night.  I almost stayed home but then I thought if Rhett could run a marathon with a torn PF then I could run a tempo run with migraine.  Funny thing around two miles the migraine when away.  They always seem to come on Mondays the day after my rest day.  Maybe I truly am addicted to running and the headaches are just me going through withdrawal.  If running is the cure I am so for it!

5 ez miles - legs were very sore at first but it all seemed to work out near the end.

Have any of you heard about a line of products called Enlyten?  A neighbor of mine is a distributor and has asked me to try them.  They are like the breathe strips that you put in your mouth but instead of fresh breath they give you energy or replenish your electrolytes.  I tried them just today and think they are OK.  I will try them again on my long run on Saturday.  They are very small so I see a big advantage if they work

This was not a good training day for me.  Legs felt tired right when I woke up.  I had carpool today so I got to the gym late but I was still going to try and run 5 miles at race pace and then go to spin late.  It was not to be, at mile 1.5 I was already using mind game to stay on the treadmill.  I had only gone ONE mile at race pace.  By the time I was at 4 miles I was done both mentally and physically.  I had 10 minuets before class so I lifted for my hamstrings and then went to class.  I couldn't get my heart rate up in class at all.  I almost threw my monitor across the room, but that would be childish and I am an old lady after all.  Any way not sure what I am going to do tomorrow I am scheduled to do 3 EZ miles and then spin.  I don't like feeling this way so close to OGDEN!

Spin class - I forgot that they were going to have a 90 minute class today.  They (we had two teachers) really pushed us hard.  It felt good though after yesterday.  I am glad I stayed.

6 miles elliptical.  First mile at 11% resistance 5 miles at 6% resistance.  Legs were really feeling the 90 minute spin class so after the first mile I thought it would serve me better to lower the resistance.  I did the 6 miles in 46:00 I was going to shoot for 46:66 just to freak Jeff out but that would just be silly...no such time exists it would really be 47:06

I wanted to run 11 miles today got to the meeting place early, ran 5 on my own.  The weather was just like the SGM.  When I was done I waited in my car for the group to get started and tried to dry off a little.  I changed my gloves took two Enlyten strips and three cliff blocks. It took a long time for the group to get started and my legs started to get really cold.  They were already so wet.  I started to run with Becky and told her to keep me at a 9:00 pace or slower.  I think I have been doing my long runs too fast and I pay for it when I try to do speed work.  When Becky and I had gone just under two miles my legs were still cold and felt very heavy this is when we started up 1800 a .5 mile hill not too steep but it get steeper near the end.  It was really hard.  We turned to corner the rest of the run would be mostly down hill.  When we got  to the turn of that would make my run 10 miles total.  Becky said she was going to stop and I did too.  I should have gone on for just one more mile but could bring myself to do it.  I was just too cold and wet.  When I got home I weighed my shirt and it was 2 pounds!  I am now mad that I didn't go on for that last mile, but that is easy to say now that I am warm and dry!
