I am not dead,  I have just been spending as much time as I could with James before he went to Japan.  I just drove him to the airport. It was harder than I thought but I held it together.  I will post more later now I have to catch up on everything I neglected for the past week!

Sorry for the late report, it has been way too hard to be both Mom and Dad this past week.  I wanted to write a great report that told all my feelings during the race but I will settle with a few things that I learned from the race.

First of all I already knew that I had the best sister in the world but this weekend verified that.  Kimmy (Hickgirl) stayed with Nick for the whole race even when his foot started hurting and they were forced to walk a lot!  I love her so much and I am sure Nick does too!

Second, Karma is real and it will bite you in the butt!  Right at the very spot I yelled at Kimmy last year for going too slow is where I started to fall apart.  I have learned my lesson and I will never take for granted feeling good in a marathon.  No matter how hard you train you can still have problems arise!

Third, Smooth is so fun to run with.  When I was at my lowest point, she tried to talk me through it.  She sang to me and made me laugh (at least on the inside at this point there was no laughing to be had on the outside).  I love her so much.  Brad was also so kind I had to yell at him to leave me because he wouldn't go.  I am glad he left I would have hated to mess up his race too!

Forth, running with cute teenage boys makes the miles go by faster for a while any way.  If you want proof look at my race photos.

I will list my spits for posterity although I would like to forget them:

9:03, 8:54, 8:50, 8:25, 8:33, 8:48, 8:20, 10:23, 9:12, 9:29, 9:26, 10:05, 8:48, 11:02, 8:53, 9:48, 9:40, 12:21, 13:07, 10:21, 10:18, 11:47, 12:29, 10:04, 13:44, 11:20
